Its a rare week that we don't have a single viable new first issue from DC, Marvel or Image, so let's turn to returning series! Ooooh, MONSTRESS #31 starts a new arc of an amazing comic, while the amazing Judd Winick starts his third arc of HILO. Or maybe you want to go smaller press, where Frank Gogol's new arc of DEAD END KIDS starts. Or, if you're old like Brian, you're digging on OTHER HISTORY OF THE DC UNIVERSE #2, where John Ridley somehow ties TITANS comics from the 70s to Arthur Ashe and the Atlanta Child Murders to CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #7. Interestingly shaped week for launches! The big standout is probably RAIN LIKE HAMMERS but we're also eagerly awaiting the return of ABBOTT 1973! Hoooo-ee, I’m going broke with all this good content. Vault’s HEAVY looks pretty compelling, and Dark Horse is only a little late with YOU LOOK LIKE DEATH (but we’re so excited for more Klaus we don’t even care!). Image’s STILLWATER has garnered itself a fair bit of interest as a new horror series and there are too many graphic novels for me to pick out just a few (but also I’d be remiss if I didn’t say I’ve been waiting for the TOM OF FINLAND book for what feels like years…). What looks good to YOU?
