Brian Hibbs store owner
Born in Boone County, Missouri, pre-teen years spent in Brooklyn, New York, Brian still somehow vainly believes that he's actually a San Franciscan. Must be the hair. Brian opened Comix Experience at the ridiculously young age of 21, on April Fool's Day, 1989. Brian lives with his luscious wife, Tzipora, and his son, Ben, in sunny Noe Valley.

1. Saga (duh)
2. The Mignolaverse (Hellboy/ B.P.R.D. /etc.)

2. Neil Gaiman's Sandman
3. Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's Preacher
4. Dave Sim and Gerhard's Cerebus
5. Way more stuff than fits in a list of five, damn it, but since we have an arbitrary number, can we say "Pre-Crisis DC Comics?"
Miranda Nordell manager
Originally from that small part of Pennsylvania where M. Night Shyamalan movies are filmed, Miranda is relatively new to comics. Other than the occassional Betty & Veronica or Garfield as a kid, Miranda’s first real introduction to comics was actually a Paper Girls from Comix Experience in 2016! It’s been true love (or maybe obsession is the right word?) ever since. If the comic has a tenacious lady in it, Miranda has either read it or its on her list! When not at work, Miranda can probably be found with her husband and her pup Moxie!
Miranda's Top Ten (in no particular order and changing constantly!):
1. Unbeatable Squirrel Girl
2. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
3. Paper Girls
4. On a Sunbeam (Honestly, everything by Tillie Walden)
5. My Favorite Thing is Monsters
7. The Girl from the Other Side
9. Tokyo Tarareba Girls
10. The Wicked + The Divine
Joe Thompson manager
Joe is a Whedonite born and raised in San Francisco. His interest in comics grew from early exposure to the X-Men, Milestone’s Hardware, and the manga series Yu Yu Hakusho. Outside of work he can be found publishing his own indie titles, listening to European metal, and hunting for the best curry in the city. Japanese of course!
Joe's Top Ten:
2. Yu Yu Hakusho
3. The Man Without Fear
4. Astonishing X-Men
7. Empty Zone
8. I, Vampire (New 52)
9. Spider Woman: Agent of Sword
Emma grew up in Los Olivas, CA. When she isn’t working at Comix Experience, you can find Emma drawing sassy pin-ups, laboriously and meticulously painting her nails, making/consuming sourdough toast, exploring the city's many parks, and sketching the occasional disoriented European tourist on Muni.
Emma's Top 5 All Time Comics:
1. Adventures of Tintin
2. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
4. Calvin & Hobbes
5. The World of Ginger Fox
Emma's Top 5 Current Comics:
1. Deadly Class
3. Supreme Blue Rose
4. Afterlife with Archie
5. All New Ghostrider #1-6
Nathan hails from the quiet seaside town of Ventura, California. Cutting his teeth on a comic collection bequeathed to him by his uncle ensured he was primed for X-Men dominating nearly every field of media during his childhood (as well as giving him a somewhat generation-anachronistic fondness for, uh, L.E.G.I.O.N. '89). A voracious consumer of virtually any form of narrative media, he is exactly the kind of person you would expect to always play a Bard in Dungeons & Dragons.
Nate's Top 10:
3. Gunnerkrigg Court
4. The Wicked + The Divine
6. Sacred Heart
8. Giant Days
10. Excalibur by Claremont & Davis
