June 2025's Graphic Novel Club events!

June 2025 is a amazing month for the Comix Experience Graphic Novel Clubs.

Our New Release Adult GN selection for June 2025 is your new favorite time-traveling rom-com! We are excited to bring you YOU AND ME ON REPEAT by Mary Shyne published by Henry Holt. We are very excited to host Mary for an IN-PERSON interview, audience Q&A and signing on Sunday July 6th at 10am! COME ON DOWN!

Our Kids Club selection this month says even humans need care! From the Gavin Aung Than, and published by First Second Books, we're delighted to bring you CREATURE CLINIC. Watch for our interview with Gavin coming in June to YouTube.

While we are no longer doing a formal COMICS MASTERPIECES club with author events and signed bookplates, we're still going to make a monthly recommendation, and this month we've got one of my favorite books ever: MOONSHADOW by J. M. DeMatteis and Jon J. Muth, currently published by Dark Horse Comics. You really want to read this one!

Meet Mary Shyne, for YOU AND ME ON REPEAT

We’re extremely thrilled to spotlight Mary Shyne, creator of the fun time-traveling Rom-Com YOU AND ME ON REPEAT for a very special LIVE and IN-PERSON interview / Audience Q&A / Signing on Sunday July 6th at 10am PST as part of the Comix Experience Graphic Novel of the Month club!

Attendance is free, and open to all!

Here is the book’s description: In this swoony and hilarious debut rom-com graphic novel, two former friends are trapped in a time loop together, repeating their high school graduation day over and over and over. Chris O'Brien has a genius plan: If he can share the perfect first kiss with his crush, Andy, then of course he'll break free from the time loop that has him repeating graduation day over and over... and over. Alicia Ochoa thinks Chris's plan is doomed. Valedictorian and a total nerd, she knows it'll take more than a kiss to escape the loop they're trapped in together. Besides, Chris may be a hopeless romantic, but Alicia doesn't think he has a real shot with Andy. Once close friends, Alicia and Chris have history-lots of it. As they got older, the pair fell out after Chris ditched her for the "cool kids" and left her in the dust. But when you're looping side by side, you never know if friendship might rekindle or what new feelings could spark along the way.

Starting at 6pm on Thursday March 20th we will have an live interview with Briana that we are recording for our YouTube channel — and we want YOU in the studio audience to find out more about the creation of this special book!

This is preceded by a public signing at 5pm

Starting at 10am on Sunday March 2 we will have an live interview with Hugh that we are recording for our YouTube channel — and we want YOU in the studio audience to find out more about the creation of this superb book!

Then at Noon, we switch to a signing by Hugh.

We are excited to host Hugh for a very special interview at Comix Experience on Sunday, March 2nd at 10am PST — please come down and join our studio audience. This will be followed by a public signing at roughly noon. This interview is being recorded, and will be publicly shared sometime in later March.
