Nebula and Hugo Award winning local author Charlie Jane Anders (All the Birds in the Sky, Lessons in Magic and Disaster) will be at Comix Experience to celebrate the launch of her new ongoing Star Trek comic series, Star Trek Zero Point.  Set a few years after the season 3 finale of Star Trek: Picard TV show, and as the Enterprise-G vanishes across the galaxy, Captain Raffi Musiker commands a starship tasked with preventing tomorrow's disasters today - guided by a powerful A.I wearing the face of a familiar ally that may know too much, and understand too little about hope. Charlie Jane will be giving a quick introduction to audiences on the inspiration behind her new series, why Trek's message of fighting intolerance in 2026 is so important, and will have a meet & greet/ signing of Zero Point #1.

Joining her as special guests will be the Star Trek fan club, the USS Golden Gate. Formed in 1993 in San Francisco, CA, this fan club welcomes anyone who enjoys Gene Roddenberry's vision in its many forms. They embrace the Golden Gate moniker to symbolize IDIC (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations) as they see it reflected in acceptance and tolerance across the Bay Area, and want everyone to "Live Long and Party On, Dudes!"

This is a free event to attend! Plus we have free previews of the current Star Trek series, while supplies last. Cosplay encouraged! 🤓🖖🏼
