Comic Outpost has a long history selling comic books dating back to the early 90s, and Comix Experience took over ownership on December 16, 2013. The store is now christened Comix Experience Outpost, and is renewed for the 21st century!
San Francisco's back issue specialist (we probably have a breadth of back issues as large as any three other SF comic book stores), Outpost is the Southernmost comic book store in San Francisco (and therefore the northernmost store all the way to San Mateo). Outpost also carries a passionately curated selection of the best of eight decades of comics history in the graphic novel format.
Comix Experience also has an excellent subscription service available for all of your new comics needs, and we print our own in-house monthly magazine called "Comix Experience Onomatopoeia" to help guide you through each month's new releases.
And whether you live here in San Francisco or far away, our Graphic Novel Club and Kids' Graphic Novel Club offer monthly picks of the finest new graphic novels curated by our staff, live and streamed club meetings and special events with authors and artists , cool swag and more.
Owner Brian Hibbs is an internationally acclaimed expert on comics and comic book retailing, writing the well-respected "Tilting At Windmills" for three decades now. He was on the board of directors for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, served as a judge for the prestigious Eisner Awards, and was a founding member of Comics Pro.

"We Have Issues"
Comix Experience Outpost is surrounded by probably the most ample free parking of any comics shop in San Francisco. We also have a stop for the K Ingleside directly in front of our door, making us a mere six streetcar stops from Downtown San Francisco.
